Janine McDonald was born and raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from Judge Memorial High School. She then attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Following graduation, she moved away from Utah and worked in various areas of nursing as an RN. These included neo-natal ICU, adult ICU, emergency department and the operating room where she specialized in open heart surgery.

In 2000, she returned to graduate school to continue her studies at the masters level and graduated from Washington State University with a Masters of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Janine has worked for many years in Family Practice with an emphasis in women’s health care. Having a personal interests in bio-identical hormone replacement, she is very pleased to have the opportunity to provide this care at Balanced Body, MD.

Once her daughter graduated from high school and was going away to college, she decided to return home to Utah. Janine enjoys skiing, golfing, bicycle riding and spending time with her friends and family.
