Jed R. Bindrup, MD is board certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and practices in the Draper, Salt Lake City area. He has served as Chairman, Division of Plastic Surgery at Intermountain Medical Center and as Chief of Surgery at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, Utah. Dr. Bindrup earned a medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He completed an internship and a general surgery residency at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Virginia, subsequent to which he completed a plastic surgery residency at University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in New York. Additional postgraduate training includes a pediatric plastic surgery fellowship completed at Harvard’s Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and a facial plastic surgery fellowship completed at Baker, Stuzin & Gordon facial plastic surgery in Miami, Florida.
A contributor to medical literature, Dr. Bindrup has written on transaxillary submuscular breast augmentation and subcutaneous fibrous bands. Subjects of former clinical investigations have included laparoscopic cholecystectomies, correlation between abnormal mammograms and biopsy-proven breast carcinoma, and early sternal wound closure with omental flaps.
Dr. Bindrup is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Utah State Plastic Surgery Society and Utah Medical Association.
